We don't see our candles as products, but as supplements to your home and your own experience!

Candlelight Millennium: When Muselight and Candles Meet

Since the beeswax candle holders on the Mediterranean coast illuminated Greek temples in the 5th century BC, candles have become witnesses to Western civilization. In medieval monasteries, monks used sheep fat mixed with beeswax to make ceremonial candles, with a faint halo hiding humanity's eternal thirst for divinity and warmth. Amidst the steam roar of the Industrial Revolution, French chemist Michel Eug è ne Chevreul extracted paraffin wax in 1850 and sent candles from aristocratic halls to ordinary households, but also laid the groundwork for petrochemical materials and health hazards.

 

Under the wave of environmentalism in the 21st century, the candle civilization has ushered in its third awakening. People are no longer satisfied with the standard candles produced by industrialization, but instead pursue the integration of ancient craftsmanship and natural materials. Soy wax - a renewable resource revived from Native American cultivation traditions - has become a new favorite due to its pure combustion and low carbon footprint. By chance, Muselight came into contact with the candle civilization and was deeply attracted, starting to explore and discover everything about candles bit by bit. Gradually, our team of craftsmen also understood the evolutionary code of candle art: using 100% non GMO soy wax from North America, combined with plant essential oils from Provence farms in France, each drop of wax is hand poured at a golden temperature of 65 ℃. When modern minimalism meets the decorative aesthetics of the Baroque period, Muselight's candle cups present a wonderful dialogue between glacier patterned glass and gilded reliefs, with each piece imprinted with a unique flame pattern - an improvisational creation that dances with the air when wax cools.

 

From Victorian era candlelight dances to contemporary Nordic philosophy of hygge, we redefine the modern mission of candles: not simply as lighting tools, but as time containers that carry memories. When customers open our handwritten lacquer sealed pine gift box and touch the rough texture of the volcanic rock candle wick, what they are buying is not only a candle, but also a story that can be lit - perhaps the vanilla aroma of the Left Bank caf é in Paris, or the cinnamon fragrance of their grandmother baking apple pies.

 

The handmade temperature lost during the three hundred year process of candle industrialization is being reborn in Muselight's workshop. We adhere to quality at a price 30% lower than the market, because truly good goods should not become luxury goods.
